The folks at Polarn O. Pyret are encouraging parents to get their kids outside this week every day- regardless of the weather- with their Every Day a Play Day week. Happy to oblige, we took the opportunity to go on a long fossil hunt. We walk along the stream regularly and it's been interesting to see how the landscape changes with the seasons (remember this post?). Tossing rocks into the water is a favorite activity no matter the season.
We meandered along the water to the top of our hill, and found this old pile of farm equipment. The remnants of a stone foundation are still there, so perhaps there used to be a storage shed of some sort?
EZ E and Kicky were fascinated by the "relics" left behind and made up stories about the families who've lived here before us. This was a dream machine...
I was fascinated by 'the new idea spreader'. I don't know about you, but I could certainly use a machine that spreads new ideas.
So, Polarn O. Pyret and I want to know...what are you doing outside this week?
