Giveaway...

The folks at Scholastic sent over the prettiest picture book! It's called Razzle Dazzle Ruby by Masha D’yanss, and Kicky and EZ E adore it. It's beautifully illustrated and most of the pages are either pop-ups or have some sort of moving element. I read it to the babes a couple of times, but the most interesting thing has been watching them make up their own story using the book. Scholastic is offering a copy to two Aesthetic Outburst readers. Each winner will receive a copy of Razzle Dazzle Ruby and a pair of red & white striped tights! Cute, right? The giveaway is open to US mailing addresses only. To enter, just leave a comment about the most Razzle Dazzle person you know. Comments will be open until Friday, October 21st. I'll randomly draw two names and announce the winners the following Monday. Here are a couple interior pages:

Good luck, everyone!

Ooo, the illustrations are beautiful! The most Razzle Dazzle person I know was a coworker I had at my first job out of college. She became a dear friend too. She spent hours on her hair and makeup, and dropped a ton of money on herself--hair extensions, nails, designer clothes. That was all so unfamiliar to me.

My niece Emily-Kate is pretty razzle dazzle. She's so loving and fun and loves to dress up and is becoming quite the pianist. She's very worthy of a razzle dazzle title. ( :

The most razzle dazzle person I know is Layla, my best friends little girl. She's loved pointing out her mommy's wedding ring since she was very tiny, and still, as an 18 month old enjoys the shiny things in life:)

My Mother-in-Law is the most razzle dazzle-ist person I know! Man oh man! You should see her pictures back in the 60s and 70s! She was a mini-skirt wearing hot mama to my husband! While she doesn't wear mini-skirts anymore, I love how she takes regular store-bought stuff and adds her own brand of razzle-dazzle to it and make it her own. She leaves nothing alone! I'm in awe because my own mom raised me to leave things in their original condition and I am slowly learning it's OK to change things! Love my MIL!
My girls would love this book!

my big sis is the most razzle dazzle person i know, but my two year old, who has lately taken to pillaging my closet for high heels, is gonna give her auntie a run for it...

The most Razzle Dazzle person I know is my 5 year old Maizie. She always has a smile on her face. The best part of her Razzle Dazzle is her fashion. Since she was a year old she has been picky about her clothing. She is an accessory addict and an outfit isn't complete without lots of layers, jewelry, and a flashy pair of tights.

My littlest one, Pearlie is a razzle-dazzle girl. She makes hats, tights and tutus look like everyday casual wear. Love her to bits!

These are stellar! Both of my girls would love these! The most razzle dazzle person I know is my husbands grandma. She is 96, lives on her own, still drives and is as sharp and witty as ever. She's simply spectacular and I hope to have as much moxie as her someday.

I used to be pretty razzle dazzle myself, but I think that distinction should now go to my friend Kate - she has s-t-y-l-e.

The most razzle-dazzle person I know is my friend Denise... more in the spiritually sparkly/shiny way rather than any literal connection to dazzling things. She's a bright light, and I love her!

And my niece and nephew would love this book! :)

My mother! She gave me a red sequined headband for Christmas one year that I wore religiously for about a year. And once for Halloween, she used a metal hanger to give me pippy longstocking braids. Love!

My Razzle Dazzle daughter Brynn. She is two, almost three, and loves all things flashy and sparkly. She first wanted to be a princess, but decided being boss Queen was even better. She'd love this!

No question, my 6 year old, Sofie is the most Razzle Dazzle person I know. She wanted to wrap her head in a scarf, Jackie-O syle, for her school picture. Unfortunately, her teacher wouldn't let her.
