The joys of homeownership...

driveway flood
I know I promised to show our kitchen light, but unfortunately our driveway is being washed down the road as I type this. Since EZ E is already at school, I'm concerned that I'd have no way to pick him up if the driveway washes out completely, which is looking certain. As a result, Kicky and I are going to make our escape while we still can. Look for the kitchen lights tomorrow, I hope. Oh, and keep your fingers crossed for us.

Are you sure that's a driveway and not a river you just missed with all the reno-chaos?? Wowsa. Our gravel shifts around sometimes but nothing like that!

Im surprised they didnt let him out early. Hubby works right there near you and they sent everyone home early... kids at 12, teachers at 1.
Girls and I just got home(we're at a school on top of a hill so very safe) but still...some of these valley roads are shut down and washed out.
Hope you made it out...and back home...safely!

Thanks, everyone! We're at home again, nice and safe. Kicky and I made it out of the driveway, but the car died (again). When it rains it pours, right? Anyways, PRH came to the rescue and we went to pick up EZ E. The town already came to temporarily patch our driveway (yay!). Now we're trying to divert water so it stops coming in the house and waiting out the state of emergency. What a nightmare day. EZ E did great at school though! :)
