Well-crafted defense...

feathers
When you find yourself painting feathers with gold fabric paint in the middle of a room full of half-packed boxes, it's a pretty sure bet that you're procrastinating. Busted! In my (crafty) defense, packing has been made infinitely more bearable by taking crafting breaks here and there. Any other procrastinators out there?

Unpacking boxes blows balls. We just moved across the country so I know, it's grueling! The sooner you get it done the sooner real life in your home starts!

no way! you weren't procrastinating - that was an inspired moment. it had to be done.

(emily jane, LOVE procraftinating! best new word, must use immediately. must procraftinate!)

Well said Emily Jane! Yeah, it's amazing what I can find to do when I need to be doing something else. Super cool feathers, though. You have the BEST experimental spirit!

I think these feathers (and the photographs) are really special.

I'm a total procrastinator but I really don't think it's about avoiding the task as much as it's about giving adequate thought to the process before I get started.
