Space to work...

studio

Yesterday, because this is what our house has started to look like all of the time, I kicked our kiddos out of this room and claimed it as my studio. I was looking back at old photos of my studio in grad school and I'm looking forward to having a space to work again. PRH is excited to have a clear dining room table again and the kids could care less that their bedroom is now the same room as their playroom. I'll share photos of my new studio soon, but in the meantime, here are a few shots from my old one. There are more here, btw. And yes, that is a gigantic drawing of Susan B. Anthony. I love me some suffragettes.

Ah, so jealous. I love your bunt pan piece and your vintage ribbon collection on the wall. Enjoy your new room!

Love it. I miss my old studio too, but The Beard and I got a two bedroom just so we could have a studio too and its way better than a cramped little corner of a dirty warehouse. We spend 90% of our time in here. No joke.

I may need to commission another neon Susan B. Anthony for my office.

Good for you! I'm trying to figure out how to make my husband think that it's his grand idea to build me a playhouse. And you must give us details about that sweet little robin. Enjoy your studio!

I'm super excited to have the space again. :)

Monica- the pink Susan B. is actually a t-shirt stretched over a canvas. I took a photo of Susan B, Anthony to one of those airbrush booths in the mall and had the guy airbrush a t-shirt. He thought it was a picture of me! (crazy)

Chrysalis- I found that at a thrift store. You may recognize it from this post. I scanned it, blew it up, and had it printed out.
x,
Abbey

How did you attach the bundt pans to the wall? I loved the idea and started picking up ones that caught my eye, but am having a hard time hanging them.

Hi Lori-

I held the pan to the wall, made a mark in the center with a pencil, and then hammered in a little nail. :)
