Two faves...

chevy vega
Snapshots from years ago that stay in my desk.
  • Above: my car in highschool...a 1976 Chevy Vega with black and white plaid interior. It was old and loud when I had it and I can't remember how long I drove it, but I do remember loving every minute.
  • Below: the vacation house that my best friend's family rented every summer of our youth. It's still one of the most incredible buildings I've ever stayed in. It's in Orleans, Massachusetts on Gesner Road, but I can't remember much else about the history of the house. Anyone out there know anything about it?

I've spent every summer of my youth in Orleans near Skaket Beach or Brewster in Nickerson State Park. Some of my favorite memories. We'd drive by that road to get to Pilgrim Lake. Now my sons enjoy digging and splashing in many of the kettle ponds in the area. It's the best. Thanks for the happy thoughts this am!

Awesome car, btw...

I wonder if the house is still for rent. I love it's retro-ness...if that is a word. I'd really like to see the interior!

Thanks! I'm glad you all liked my favorite car (and house). Such fun memories of driving that beast. :)

Karen- yay for Orleans! It's such an adorable little town- I wish I could go to Sundae School right now. :)

Shannon- last I knew the house was still available for rent (super expensive), but they had countrified the interior. It looks really wrong. I'll find the link. :)
