Designing a home you love...

style your space
The infinitely talented Rachel Denbow just released her latest e-Course, called Style Your Space, and it is SO good! That gal never ceases to amaze me. Here's how Rachel describes the course:
It's everything I've learned about styling a beautiful home on a budget. I share how to find your interior style, tips and tricks on arranging, interviews and room tours from eight other women whose own beautiful homes have influenced my style, and a few DIY's to make things more fun.

This course is for anyone frustrated with their interior style or overwhelmed with pulling it together. Whether you love vintage, modern, factory line, or a little bit of everything, this course offers the tools to help you get the look you're going for.
Sounds awesome, right? Rachel asked the following 8 ladies to contribute room tours and design tips. Let's take a look at that list, shall we?Oh my! To say that I was thrilled to be included in this list of contributors would be an understatement. Honestly, I was singing and jumping around our house.

style your spaceYou can purchase your course through Red Velvet. Rachel has offered a giveaway of two spots to Style Your Space for TWO aesthetic outburst readers! Yay! Here are the giveaway rules:
eligibility: open to all aesthetic outburst readers, worldwide.

Oh my - congratulations! I would love to take this course. I am always struggling to create a home that really reflects me and my family and works with our lifestyle, on a very very small budget. We have a very small home and I want to make the most of the space that we do have.

Ohhhh, I would love to win this. I've had the course description open for days trying to convince myself it's ok to spend a little bit of money. Our house is full of "stuff we love" but totally lacks the organization and flow to really display that affection. You guys are a continual inspiration for me to get there with my home!

In a couple of weeks I will be moving into a new space that it mapped out unlike in other I've lived in before, and will be decorating almost from scratch. Any new tips I can learn for decorating on a budget would be great!

We just bought our first home last year and I have an entire bottom floor to decorate. It would be AMAZING to win this....AMAZING!!!

Wow this is wonderful! I've been married just over 1 year and still have yet to make our home feel like OUR home (even though we're renting). I have ideas but no idea how to get them out of my head!

I've been lurking for a while, but this forced me to come out of hiding! I would love to win this. My shotgun house is too full of dogs and family and records and books for me to do much with. I can use all the help I can get!

Oh. This is such an amazing opportunity. I would love to be able to 'pull' my home together. I love being at home and want to create a space that my family and friends love to be.
My fingers and toes are crossed!
Abbey, your home is amazing! Love reading your blog, thanks x

"... for anyone frustrated with their interior style or overwhelmed with pulling it together". Yes, that would be me!

Thanks for the opportunity! With two small children, it's hard to design our home with a long term perspective, so we have done very little. I'd love some ideas on how to make it reflective of our current livestyle and still be applicable to the future.

SewTara said...

Oh this is awesome. I've been drooling over the photos Rachel share and marvelling at how she does it with 2 small kids. Having 2 small kids of my own I'm dying for the inside scoop.

Thanks for the chance!

That sounds amazing! I recently moved into a new apartment, and I am not at a stuck point...I'm just not sure what to do now! I'd love to be able get some ideas on how to style things so they look good to people other than myself!

Great opportunity!
I've been trying to justify the cost of the course, but I don't know if it's in the budget, right now.
We just moved into a new apartment and we're getting married next month! Blending our styles and doing it on a budget is very important. I think this course would help, a lot!

ShePenguin said...

You should be excited! I believe your style should be show cased as you pull it off with two young kids in tow!

I'd love to take this course. I'm about to enter my 30's and have hit a creative wall with my home. I have been collecting items I love, but just don't quite know how to assemble it all so I don't look like I'm living in a yard sale. Help is definitely needed! Kid friendly and artistic...I'm sure I could do it with some help.

Chelsea said...

I would LOVE to win this e-course because I just graduated college and moved into my first ever apartment...it's super tiny, as is my budget. I've always admired Rachel's styling and think that this would be a HUGE help in turning my first place into a home!

Anna said...

I just died from excitement! I should be in this class because:
1. you're awesome & I love your deco style
2. Rachel's house is adorable. I have wanted a giant pink cabinet since the day I saw hers in a home tour.
3. I love RVA classes- I took home ec ,summer camp, blog love, and the journaling class but this one isn't in the budget right now.
4. I have lived in my house for a year, & we only have 1 room painted and nothing hanging on the walls. I need a kick in the fanny.

Happy Thursday!

What a great giveaway! I just moved into a new great space ... with HORRIBLE wallpaper and other design features! I'm just itching to take down that red plaid and put up something all my own. Thanks!

Holly F. said...

I want to take the course, because after a married life full of rentals and "I'll decorate when we actually buy a place," I think I'd better start decorating no matter where I live.

Campfire Chic said...

I would love to have the opportunity to take Rachel's e-Course! I like that it gives advice to those of us renting our spaces and not able to make drastic/permanent changes :)

By the way, I just became your 1600th GFC reader :)

Lisa said...

I totally need this course. I bought a bigger house (1900sqft) my old house was 616sqft. I'm so afraid to buy anything...what if i hate it, then i'm out all the money!!!

alison b said...

We just recently bought our first house and are attempting to make it our own-but with two young children, we barely have time to pick a paint color! This would be so helpful!

Bounty Huntress said...

I would love to take this course! I have a blast scouting out awesome vintage finds but I bring them home only to not know where to put them. I feel more like a hoarder when things are just sitting around taking up space! Help!!

Bea Gauvin said...

Oooh I absolutely love all the red velvet e courses! Would love love love to win this!

I have absolutely no education in styling a house, would love some help!

Stacy said...

How lovely - congratulations, Abbey! I would love to win the course because I am always interested in how other people live and how they choose to definie their style. It's an endless source of inspiration, which I am always in need of. Besides, the ladies involved in this are uh-mazing, and I am intrigued to explore their ideas on their home design.

Amanda said...

ooh nice! i'd love to take this course because i'm tired of my cluttered, tiny apartment. i want it to have style & show off all my vintage finds without looking like a packed second hand store. i need to make the most of the least amount of space... all on a budget near $0. :)

Lydie said...

What a great course, and a super roundup of talent! I would love to take this course...we just pulled up our carpet to reveal beautiful wood floors, and now I need to redecorate!

Rebecca said...

I would love to take this course because I live in a small space with tons of stuff in it, much of which I can't get rid of because it pertains to my business (music) or my partner's business (art). So, it's hard to pull it all together and make it pretty with not much space to work with.

Mo Pie, Please said...

Oh my gosh I want to win this so bad! My husband and I are in the process of buying our first home. Right now, our style is basically clutter. Clutter is everywhere (along with copious amounts of cat hair) and it drives me insane. It seriously leaves me feeling agitated all the time and no matter what I do to try and remedy the situation, nothing seems to work. I have good taste in things, I just guess I don't know how to bring everything together in one cohesive way. It scares me to think of moving into a home and having it cluttered and the opposite of a home, you know? Help!

Ren- Lady Of The Arts said...

I would take it to connect with other creative ladies- love the community that blogging has given me.

Trina said...

How fun! I can imagine being very excited! :) i would love to take this course because , as much as i do love my home and feel i'm doing pretty well, there is always a bit of a road block in really pulling it all together. while i love the things in our home, sometimes i find myself arranging them in the same old boring ways. I'd love to lear how to tweak things to make them more visually appealing. Thanks!

Nazneen said...

Congratulations! I would love to take this course because I currently have one month off and I am looking at different ideas to decorate my room on a budget!

curlygirlpress said...

I would love to take this course, it looks fabulous. I have a large white home that I've lived in for almost 3 years, and I'm still trying to meld my artsy-eclectic style with my husbands woodland-lodge-minimalism... so far there's a lot of white space.

Laura said...

I would love this! My style has changed & evolved drastically the past two years. I would love help following my heart & creating a warm, lovely home.

Rachael, Pistachio Press said...

Yes! I'd love to take this course. I know I have some great pieces, but I always struggle with how to organize and edit everything. And I'm a little afraid of making changes, so I think this might be the push I need. Great line up!

Jessica said...

From a modern loft in the city to a 100 year-old dutch colonial... let's just say, my style has turned some sharp corners. With two babes and a dog, this DOOD (director of Offspring Development) is lacking in the home decor department at the moment. I would love to be a sponge and share in this course!

Gretchen said...

Boy, do I need some inspiration and help organizing - pick me, pick me!

jandjhome said...

This would be amazing. I've been trying to incorporate vintage finds into my home and really could use the help sorting it out.

nicki said...

how cool!! i'm making a career change and heading in to the world of interior styling, so i feel that this would be the perfect course for me. what better place to start than in your own home- sounds amazing!

Wendy said...

I'd like to win because I share the teacher's aethetic in terms of not going out and buying things brand-new. I'm big into thrifting and yard sales. My problem is that I get tons of stuff, which is problematic, considering that I live in a small space. I get overwhelmed by how to group things in an interesting fashion, and I see she works with students on culling items from the stash....

mixette said...

While I have many diversely-talented friends, I am the one that usually gets called for styling/decorating advice. Will trade paint color selecting for tax advice, computer un-sticking, etc! So the chance to get some words of wisdom from that amazing lineup of creative women would be priceless.

bklopst said...

O yes please, count me in!
I do like the stuff i already have and have been collecting over the years, but somehow it's not easy to bring it all together in a way that truly reflects who i am and what i'm about...although i must say you blogpeople already have inspired me a lot! Big thanks to you!

jenny miller said...

Awesome for you! So glad Rachel put together this course of some of my fave sites. I'm looking forward to achieving better flow with all our items. I love to collect, but sometimes have a problem with editing (just a small one!). I've been putting copies of my favorites pics into a little inspiration notebook to help with achieving the look I want and not getting more stuff I don't need or love. You women rock! Thanks so much.

Hannah said...

After moving back home I've started to collect things but am forced to hid them away in boxes. I would love to take Rachel's e-course so I can start planning for my future home, and learn how to better use all the beautiful things I've collected!

We've been in our tiny, adorable, quirky, sunny cottage for eight years and absolutely adore it. But we've got two kids now and noooo room, so on Tuesday we put in an offer on a big but totally boring colonial in a nice neighborhood. Beige carpet in just about every room (including the master bath, eww). Beige carpet. Beige linoleum. I would LOVE to take this course and help me figure out what to do once I rip out all of that beige everything!!

I would love to take this e-course. Right now I live in The Woodshed, a two-room tiny apartment connected to my parents house. I'm dreaming of the day when I have a place of my own again, but in the meantime can use all sorts of ideas for living in and organizing this little space. I haven't measured this out precisely but I moved a three bedroom house into less than 500 square feet! I need all the help I can get!!! Anne, yourmainestamper

Oh Wow!! This would be so awesome to win! I really am struggling at the moment to understand my style(s) and make decisions on how to furnish my house. I live in a large aussie rental which means all my old furniture which fitted a british victorian terrace is too small and the wrong style. I love farmhouse, I love retro, I love ubermodern, I love rustic.. I just don't know where to start or what to go with. It's just taken me 6 months of sleeping on a stack of single mattresses while I decide what bed to get within my budget. I've taken the same time to find a unit for the tv so I can have my coffee table back. I am just stuck on the issue of finding a sofa!! This is something I sooo need!! Fingers and toes are crossed!

Stacy said...

i would love to win this because i literally have had all of my favorite thrifted or otherwise pictures/art leaning against the wall where i should hang them for over a year! i need inspiration big time and i would love to get a peek into rachel's stylish mind!

This e-course sounds fabulous and exactly what I need! I love finding cool things for the home but I like too many different styles and can never seem to pull it all together. Some advice and great examples would be super helpful. Pick me please!

Please please please please please! Abbey, your house is beyond amazing and I think I've pinned so many photos from it that I look like a stalker! Pretty much the same with Rachel's space…decorating advice from both of you ladies would be SO great.

My house was built in the 1890's and the previous owners decided to make it very Germanic (dark wood beams and accents) in style - soooo not me! I've been in the house for about a year and a 1/2 and only have 1 1/2 rooms done - I've reached a stalemate and need help and inspiration!
