20 handmade projects in 20 days...day 7. Some days I start a project and just can't stop. Case in point: this embroidered piece. It consumed every free moment for several days and I'll honestly be happy to see it leave my possession. If it doesn't soon, I may be tempted to keep working on it! The banner is blank because I simply couldn't decide that to 'write' in it. With a cute photo pinned to the center, it would be lovely for a wedding or engagement party. You could always embroider a special date or phrase. Would you leave it blank or embroider a message? It's kind of large (18.5 inches in diameter)...see the photos below for a sense of scale. Thanks to ravenna girls Vintage for sponsoring today's project (they also have a lovely blog). Happy 20 in 20!
❤,
Abbey

wow! you've taken these april projects to a whole new level! this would look right at home among my cross stitch collection hanging out on my porch. beautiful work abbey!
When we were all babies my grandmother made all of the grandkids embroidered birth announcements. Then for the great-grandkids she did them too. My son got one but sadly she passed before my daughter was born. I would embroider all of my daughter's birth info on this so she can have one too!
this is my most favorite yet! it reminds me of our Thing in the Spring logo...
awww i love it!! the flowers are amazing :)

Whoa! I love it! Especially the size and the color of the background. Way to go Abbey :)
This is so pretty, and that hoop! I love it! My grandparents celebrate their 60th anniversary this year, and we share the anniversary date, so that is probably what I would add.
Hats off, it's awesome!!
Love the pattern and the colours!
Awesome!!! I think I would have to leave it blank. I love how you pinned a photo in there, and I love the colors!
amazing. totally amazing. looks great with the photo.
Oh, I love that. I would finish it off with either "home sweet home" or "sisters make the best friends" in the banner for my girls' room. So pretty.
So gorgeous! I adore the vintage picture too; looks great. Would love love love to have it hanging on my wall. <3
So so lovely. I would never offer that beauty up to the Indonesian postal system just in case....I don't think anyone in your comments section would appreciate that beauty sitting in some dusty back room lost forever - Raiders of the Lost Ark style - stored in a giant government warehouse filled with countless other similar shaped parcels! It's really beautiful.
You are so talented! I love this.
Oh my word! you've outdone yourself!
Yes! I would love to hang that anywhere in my dwelling! Its so beautiful :)

Charming! I'd leave it blank - there's something so pretty to me about the stark yellow banner with all the fleurs! I've been meaning to take up embroidery, this is beautiful.
i just love this! I think I might leave it blank, so as to let the viewer make up their own story.
This is my favorite of all the 20-in-2o's! Charming blank, I LOVE how generic it makes the celebration. I would change out the photo and keep the banner void...
This is so beautiful. I adore the color choices!
Really great! It would be great with a date or name embroidered or it could stay ambiguous.
I love your idea of using this as a way of showing-off a favorite photo. I'd likely use an old photo of my grandma as a girl with her maiden aunts. Lovely.
OH! this is simply lovely!!! I would leave it blank so I could rotate pictures. You are out-doing yourself these days!
