20 handmade valentines in 20 days...day 2. I was thinking about these when I made these military medallion-inspired pins. I used ribbon and wood to make them. There's a pin back on each, but I think they'd make cute gift toppers...you know, if sporting a medallion isn't really your thing. The winner gets both! Good luck, valentines!

LOVE THESE!! Am thinking of whipping up some small party medallions for my little ladies Sweet Six party I am planning...which lands only days after Valentine's!
These are so cool! I can picture them in all sorts of fun color and ribbon pattern combinations!
I don't know why I love medals so much, maybe because I didn't win any when younger?? who knows but these are adorable. I love the wood.

Aw how sweet!

adorable, simply adorable!
These are lovely, they'd go perfectly on my boyfriends uniform (not too sure what the RAF would say) and I'm always telling him he should get a special medal for looking after me.
Cheesy but true.

LOVE! I've wanted to try my hand at making some medal-y version, too. So great!
I'm absolutely obsessed with the military trend going on right now. Sadly, though, I can't seem to afford much (poor college student stereotype and all), nor can I find any of those beautiful double breasted coats that don't make my currently large chest look even larger.
So, in other words, I LOVE these.
I may just have to make some of my own.
Sweet! I'd wear them proudly!
So cute! I have two old band medals I found at an antique store in IL and they are my favorite pins to wear. You can see them here:
