In season...


These photos are from my parents' small farm in upstate New York. Their farmhouse was originally built in 1813. Previous owners had stripped the house and property of all its charm; when my parents first bought it, every room was painted a different fluorescent color, including a fluorescent purple foyer with matching purple shag carpeting (eeek!). They've been remodeling it for years now; at one point, you could stand in the basement and stare up into the attic (double eeek!). I'll share interior before and after photos once they're ready, but today it's all about their gardens. Their vegetable garden is particularly huge this year and they recently added a small greenhouse to the mix, which my father is thrilled about. Here's a look...

oh my! this is amazing!!!

thanks for the garden inspiration... im hoping to start our vegie garden in the next few weeks (at the moment it is just a lot of mud... eek!)
