Yesterday a stranger asked me if I was pregnant. I'm decidedly NOT pregnant, but do need to start jogging. The photo above? No, it has nothing to do with being chubby. EZ E was on a car kick this weekend at my parents' house and left a lovely row of matchbox cars in an old cabinet. A colorful surprise...unlike the crap surprise of someone thinking that I look pregnant. Off to jog.

OH boo to that person, I've had that happen to me before it's not nice :( But yay for being proactive!
WHO DOES THAT?!?!?!?! You NEVER ask a woman if she's pregnant, even if she's about to pop!!!
Nuts to that stranger, I say!
I say... whack the stranger on the head. ;-D LOVE the photo!!!
;-D robelyn
Sometimes when someone looks extremely healthy, radiant and happy it could give one the idea that this lady is pregnant! But as Erin said...you never ask!
Loved your picture of the old cars in the cabinet!
You should have said, "No, I'm not pregnant but am sure sorry that you are obviously blind and rude." Rule of thumb: NEVER ASSUME A WOMAN IS PREGNANT UNLESS YOU WANT TO PUT YOUR FOOT DIRECTLY IN YOUR MOUTH.
On a better note... fall is the best season for being outside and active. Happy jogging!
A former boss once asked a (non-pregnant) client of ours the same question at on site meeting. AWKWARD!!! Enjoy the jog :)
Your pics are beautiful and i'm with everyone else on this one. If you don't have anything nice to say..
Many people told me I didn't look pregnant all throughout my pregnancy. This may seem okay, even nice, but when you're 8 months pregnant and you know what you look like sans clothing... not so much.
I've experienced the opposite, too. Still can't figure out which was worse.
Ditto everyone above about the awkward remark. I am a first time visitor and enjoying your blog immensely.
After I had my first child I was asked by a stranger when the baby was due!!! I thought I looked so good - it was demoralizing, so I know how you feel.
I like when people ask me when I'm due while I'm holding my 6 month old baby. Really people? You couldn't put that together?
I actually have a friend who has never been pregnant but always responds "I'm five months along."
I'm so sorry that happened to you. I've had that happen more times than I can count on two hands...it hurts every time and makes me want to scream at the person. I've decided the best response is "Why do you ask?" So rude to ask anyone that question...
You're all very sweet. Thank you for the lovely comments. :) xo, Abbey
