Paint choices...

This image from bloesem is for my friend Ken. We've been talking about paint colors for the interior of his farmhouse (which has a lot of wood and stone) and our mutual friend suggested a grayed out blue. I love that idea. This may be a bit darker than she intended, but don't the terra cotta pots, wood spoons, and foliage look so pretty against that paint color?

I lurv it! It's actually very close to what I want to paint my bedroom - I want it to be just a little more eggplanty. Yum!

I absolutely adore the combination of this matte grey paint and fresh green plants. Very inspiring!

what a gorgeous still life. everything pops against the grey background.

Oh man, Grey is a hard color to get right. I tried it about three times earlier this year in our bedroom. The first color seemed too lavender, the second was too blue....the third, just right. Seems the darker greys are easier...That said, I just painted a wall in my kitchen black last night. Sweet!

wow, that's my kitchen! i was just checking in on your blog as i usually do and there it was. i like being surprised like that.
if anyone was wondering it is actually BM chalkboard paint. it has a really nice depth to it that you don't get from regular paint.
i was really amazed by how much the green plants pop against it! very happy with my choice. i have pics on my blog when the wall are all white and it is much more boring!

Well congratulations Emma on the great colour. It's definitely an idea that I will keep in mind.
