Hurrah for printmaking...

There's a brief but interesting article on NPR about Philagrafika. PRH and I both went to undergrad and graduate school for printmaking and were dying to go to the Southern Graphics Council conference this year in Philly. Unfortunately we couldn't justify it with both a two-year-old and and a relatively new baby in tow. Last year we took EZ E with us to the conference in Chicago and it was overwhelming to say the least...I was also pregnant at the time and the 'L' was not kind. Anyways, these awesome images are from Philagrafika. You can see more artwork on the NPR website. Go printmakers!

Yea for printmaking! My husband and I were lucky enough to be guests of Oscar Munoz, one of the artists interviewed in the NPR piece, at his house in Columbia several years ago. He's an amazing artist, and it's great to see him get more exposure here. Thanks for the post!

It's been a whirlwind here in Philly! The mandala piece at Moore was beautiful from afar- surprising up close as it's made entirely of local food store graphics! Extra Extra plus was a free giveaway poster of the mandala print in the gallery!

by the way, I've been lurking for a while- love your blog.
