Collected...

This morning is Kicky's four month visit to the pediatrician. I can't believe she's already four months old. I also can't believe how much pink crap has accumulated in our house since her arrival! These pieces by artist Portia Munson definitely struck a chord.

Holy crap, I can't believe she's four months old! I'm an ass and I'll be coming for a visit SOON! Just waiting until my cold goes away :)

When my little girl was born nearly 9 years ago I remember standing at the dryer cleaning the lint trap and being stunned that for the first time ever our dryer lint turned PINK! I saved some, cut into the shape of a heart, and yep I slapped that wad of lint into the scrapbook! :) Thinking about it still makes me smile... She is such a joy. I enjoy your blog!

So glad to see these pieces by Portia. I was fortunate enough to do a residency of several months with Portia and her husband about a decade ago. I loved her as much as I loved her assemblages, which you could just look at forever. (I really love your blog btw)

I remember wearing only pink clothing for awhile in middle school. But what can you do? The heart wants what it wants. Embrace all that pink!

We didn't register for anything pink knowing our house would be taken over by other peoples' desires to have a little girl to dress in pink. And yep--the registry was ignored in favor of all things pink. It's unavoidable.

Our family's full of redheads, so it was a pretty safe bet that my girly would have a ginger mop too. I banned pink from entering the house because I couldn't stand the thought of her clashing with all her possessions. My efforts failed miserably.

Those prints are amazing. They'd look great in my girly's room -- even if they would look horrible w/her firey tresses;D
