Perhaps a scarf in purple...

I had heard about the book Yarn Bombing: The Art of Crochet and Knit Graffiti by Mandy Moore and Leanne Prain, but I hadn't seen it in person until recently. It's totally brilliant and made me want to start knitting...if only to bomb this guy (and the baby while I'm at it). The 'yarn bombers' have a blog and you can find their book here.

Two streets near me in Cleveland had a community art event this summer in which people knit/crocheted cozies for trees, lamp posts, parking meters all up and down several blocks. It's really fun to see, makes me feel like I'm in a Dr. Seuss book.
