Clever...

architecture
I posted photos of this house last year and am still thinking about it. Designed by Hive Modular architect Paul Stankey and his wife Sarah Nordby, it's an incredibly clever use of used shipping containers. I'd want to paint the containers charcoal gray, but that's just me. Read more about it here and see more photos here.

I agree with you about painting the containers. But my guess is the designers didn't because they liked their rustic nature and wanted to show off the fact that they were using atypical building materials.
